As Founding Partner of Jamie's Ministry of Food Australia, The Good Guys was instrumental in bringing the program to Australia in 2010 and is proud of its continuing partnership with both The Good Foundation and Jamie's Ministry of Food Australia. The Good Guys has supported the national expansion of Jamie's Ministry of Food Australia, helped promote the program through its network of 101 stores and championed petitions for government funding. The Queensland Government is committed to funding health prevention programs for the benefit of Queenslanders and has proven this with seven years of funding for the Jamie's Ministry of Food program. The Queensland Government contributes to the funding of the Ipswich Centre and the Queensland Mobile Kitchen. Their support is particularly targeted toward delivering Jamie's Ministry of Food to regional, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities as well as Queensland's youth to combat chronic disease in the state. Edith Cowan University partnered with the Jamie's Ministry of Food program in 2016 supporting the delivery of the program in Western Australia for the first time. This three-year partnership will see the Jamie's Ministry of Food's West Australian Mobile Kitchen travelling the state to improve health and wellbeing in urban, regional, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Thanks to Stockland, Jamie's Ministry of Food was able to open its first centre in NSW in December 2014. In 2016, we were pleased to announce that the partnership with Stockland continues to grow with the announcement of a three-year partnership with Jamie's Ministry of Food Mobile Kitchen Queensland. This additional funding enables the Mobile Kitchen to continue to deliver the program in regional locations across Queensland. Read more
Following the announcement of the pop-up kitchen in 2014, Colonnades Shopping Centre, provided re-funding to ensure the pop-up stayed in Noarlunga, South Australia for an additional 12 months. This partnership allows the Jamie's Ministry of Food pop-up to build on the outcomes of its initial term to support long-term behaviour changes in the Noarlunga community.
