Budding chefs take part in Jamie Oliver's Learn Your Fruit and Veg Online Program

April 7 2020 Budding young chefs are whipping up a storm in the kitchen these school holidays while stuck at home. This is how you can take part in Jamie Oliver's Learn Your Fruit and Veg online program.

Budding chefs Ollie and Felix are whipping up a storm in the kitchen.

The boys are taking part in British chef Jamie Oliver's Learn Your Fruit and Veg Online Program throughout the school holidays.

The program, conducted by chefs and educators, teaches children aged three to 12 years old basic cooking skills as well as where food comes from and how it affects their bodies.

With five kids of his own, Oliver understands the need to keep children busy and happy during these uncertain times.

The half-hour sessions will run over four days.

Dates for the classes will soon be released, and children are welcome to participate in a single session or four consecutive classes.

The program requires adult supervision, giving parents the chance to pick up some kitchen tips too.

Each session is live, meaning instructors can respond to what seasonal ingredients are easiest to buy at local supermarkets.
