Can you come and deliver a session at our centre and location?

Yes, there is the opportunity for Jamie's Ministry of Food to run an outreach program at your centre or location. Please call Support Office directly for a personalised quote on 03 9282 9104.

The program must be delivered in our centres due to financial, logistical and OH&S requirements. We have beautiful centres that have been styled and designed to create a warm and welcoming environment and we invite people to come and make the most of these lovely spaces.

Do I have to pay upfront?

Booking through the website is the preferred option. Organisations making a group booking can opt to either pay upfront at time of booking or to be invoiced. An invoice can be provided for larger groups if required. All invoices must be paid prior to the course commencing.

Do I need to attend all classes?

Participants must attend the first class as it includes a compulsory OH&S briefing. If you are unable to participate in the first class you will not be able to attend the following classes. All bookings are non-transferable or refundable.

Do you offer childcare?

Jamie's Ministry of Food does not offer child minding services. Children under 12 cannot be in the centre while a class is running for safety reasons.

Does a carer have to pay?

*A carer is defined as a disability support worker

We encourage carers to be enrolled and cooking alongside the individual they are supporting. This encourages independence amongst participants and the carer learns new skills.

A participating carer is defined as having their own set of ingredients to cook with and is able to cook alongside their client (concession rates apply for carers). If the carer is not participating in the class there is no charge.

The same carer must attend all classes in the course for health and safety purposes. It is preferable for a person with special needs to arrive 15 minutes before the first class to ensure the Jamie's Ministry of Food trainers have adequate time to discuss any issues that may arise for the participant during the course.

To determine if a carer is required, the centre will contact participants and perform a skills assessment form prior to the class starting.

How do I book into a course?

You can book a course online or drop into a centre (see full details below).
